On behalf of Delaware North, global leaders in the hospitality and entertainment industry, and supporting Sunderland Association Football Club (our home club!), Building Design Northern (BDN) is delighted to be delivering a stand-out project of premier league status at the Stadium of Light.

BDN was appointed as technical architect, contract administrator and project manager, providing professional services for the launch of the Club’s new, superior hospitality offering.

As part of the SAFC’s overriding and ambitious vision to deliver success on and off the pitch, the project has included the full redesign and reimagining of all concourse and fan zone areas as well as the creation of new exclusive dining spaces like Banks on the Wear and 76 Yards. Set to launch in time for the start of the 25/26 season, these first-class hospitality areas will provide an exceptional culinary experience for those attending football matches, concerts, live events and other special occasions at the Stadium of Light going forward.

BDN has been part of a Delaware Norths collaborative and highly experienced project team that has brought together architects, interior designers, subcontractors and a Michelin-star chef (Tommy Banks). In full partnership, our combined skills and expertise will support the club (and the city) in bringing an unforgettable match day experience to many thousands of football fans and visitors coming to Sunderland each year.
