Calmont Group’s Oak Meadows development has been shortlisted for ‘Residential Development of the Year’ at the Insider Media North East Property Awards.

Sunderland and Ulverston based Architects and Engineers, Building Design Northern (BDN), are a part of the shortlisted design team, having provided Structural and Civil design services on behalf of Calmont Homes, for the 61 dwelling scheme.

The residential development of the year category recognises developments which have made a big impact and contributed to their local areas, taking into consideration the delivery of the project on time, budget, the design quality and its commercial success.

Located in Middleton St. George, the scheme comprises of a mixture of 3 and 4-bedroomed dwellings, both detached and semi-detached, ranging in height between 2 and 3 storeys.

BDN were commissioned to design, detail and gain approval for the highways and drainage, together with the structural design of the prestigious housing development, working alongside XSite Architecture.

The scheme is competing for Residential Development of the Year alongside Scholar’s View, Sunderland and St. Martin’s Green, Stockton.

The Insider North East Property Awards are on 18th May 2023, hosted at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead. Huge congratulations to the whole design team and to all other nominees for this fantastic achievement!
