I graduated in 2003 with a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Architectural Technology, and before trading steel-toe boots for sketchbooks, I spent several years as a joiner on building sites.

This gave me a solid, hands-on grasp of construction (and a few splinters along the way) and confirmed that while I love how things are built, swinging a hammer wasn’t quite for me. I then completed my Part 1 Architecture degree at Oxford Brookes University, and in 2010 stepped into a leadership role as a Director at Fitz where I’ve had the privilege of bringing exciting, practical and occasionally unconventional projects to life. I’m passionate about design that works in the real world – ie bringing together creativity, construction know-how and a healthy dose of common sense. I believe in straight-talking communication, collaborative working and solutions that don’t just look good on paper but actually get built.

Outside of work, my life is ruled by my oversized dog, Apollo, who keeps me grounded, in every sense of the word!
