BDN were appointed for the design and associated modelling for the replacement of a failed attenuation system. The site was subject to surface water discharge restrictions.
Development of the revised on-site drainage network was created using the installation of a 2000m³ concrete Carlow Attenuation Tank to restrict discharge to pre-development rates.
We undertook surface water drainage simulation modelling, developed detailed hydrological and hydraulic modelling, and presented a strategy for adoption to Northumbrian Water for the installation of the replacement system.
We were appointed by Taylor Wimpey and provided on-site assistance to NB Clark to re-design the attenuation system which was serving an existing residential development.
Works were carried out while the system was live to reduce impact of the local residents.
